Laura Pendell is a poet and avid journal-keeper. She
began making her own journals in 1995 when she found that store-bought journals were either too small or too big or had the
wrong kind of paper inside.
Laura lived in New York City until 1998 when she moved to California. In 1999, while
getting an MFA at Mills College in Poetry, she took as many Book Arts classes both at Mills and at the San Francisco Center
for the Book as she could.
Her artist's book, Hibernation, has been featured in three Book Arts shows nationally.
She
resides with her husband, the poet Dale Pendell, and their cat Mushroom, in the foothills of the Sierras in Northern California.
